Sweeping the FACTS POS System

Occasionally a user will be logged into the FACTS POS system, even though their presence may not be visible, even on the server.  When this happens, other users may be prevented from logging in.  To clean out all users, you must "sweep" the system.  Please have anyone in FACTS log out prior to sweeping to prevent any problems with the task they may be working on at that moment.  PLEASE REALIZE YOU ARE IN A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE WHEN YOU SWEEP THE SYSTEM, THEREFORE KEY IN THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION EXACTLY AS SHOWN !

Open the FACTS program by left clicking on the ‘purple swirl’ or bottom left corner (if there is no swirl) of the FACTS Sign On window, as seen below:

A rectangular box appears:

Type BASIC in the box, and stroke enter:

 

The cursor defaults to a DOS prompt: -}

Type LOAD "prog/sm/sms100" and stroke enter (there is a space between LOAD and "prog/sm/sms100"):

The cursor defaults to a DOS prompt: -}

Type GOTO sweep and stroke enter (there is a space between GOTO and sweep):

The cursor defaults to a DOS prompt: -}

Type run and stroke enter:

The cursor defaults to FACTS Sign On window.  You may now log in:

When typing the prompts they must be identical (case, quotation marks, forward slashes) as it appears in these instructions — only type the words above that are in blue.

DOUBLE CHECK EACH LINE ENTRY BEFORE HITTING THE ENTER KEY !!
